"When the old way stop fitting ...
A short & personal note:
I have had an amazing summer lots of family at our lake, and my flowers have loved all the rain this year. I’m finishing some building projects I started - a new love of mine, and of course, a couple new flower beds :). As I sit to write this newsletter its raining and only 50 degrees. Eeek, that is rather cool for this time of year. What could our fall and winter season hold for us …

Tending the Ember Within
Not long ago, I had a moment that stopped me in my tracks.
I was standing in my own closet, staring at clothes I had worn for years. Pieces that once felt like me now felt foreign. My body had changed, many didn’t fit, nor did they fit who I was anymore.
It really wasn’t about the clothes, not even that they didn’t fit - it was about who I had become.
Midlife and menopause have a way of pulling the rug out from under us. The roles and labels that defined us — mother, partner, professional, caretaker, achiever — don’t quite fit anymore. The mirror reflects back a woman who feels both familiar and strange.
For a while, I fought that feeling. I wanted the old me back. So many things have changed friends, feelings, my relationship with my husband, my relationship with life. But somewhere inside I heard “You are not losing yourself”.
It felt deeper, grounding, with trust and awareness that I hadn’t experienced before and acceptance - if I am being really honest it has taken me a long time to accept my aging self.
That whisper is why I created The Wild Ember Gathering.
This one-day retreat or perhaps more accurately an immersion. The birth of this experience is from my own journey — and from the deep desire that no woman has to walk through this passage alone. Midlife is not the end of our story; it’s a rite of passage, a threshold into something new. And like any threshold, it deserves sacred attention.
At the Wild Ember Gathering, here is what will unfold:
You’ll have space to lay down the identities and expectations that no longer serve you.
You’ll reconnect with the ember at your core — the part of you that has always been steady, even when everything else changes.
You’ll begin to imagine and embody the woman you are becoming, with the support of a circle of women on the same path.
My hope is that you’ll walk away lighter. Rooted. Seen. Clearer about who you are now and ready to honor her fully. And perhaps most of all, you’ll walk away remembering you are not alone in this transition.
This retreat is for the woman who feels something stirring inside — a knowing that she can’t go back to who she was, but hasn’t fully met the woman she’s growing into.

And because every woman’s ember needs tending in its own way, I am also holding space for something more intimate: Private Weekend Retreat.
These are for the woman who longs for stillness, privacy, and a deeply personalized experience — a retreat created just for you (or for you and a close friend, if you wish to share the journey).
Think of it as a sanctuary: time carved out to step away from the noise of everyday life, where every detail is designed to nurture you. You’ll have space to rest, reflect, and reconnect — and we’ll move gently, at your pace, into the deeper layers of who you are becoming. This is a luxury, yes, but more than that, it’s a sacred investment in yourself.
If you feel drawn to a private retreat, simply reply to this email, and I’ll share more about what this could look like for you and/or a friend.
Two different offerings, both rooted in the same truth: the ember within you is alive, steady, and waiting to be tended.
Whether you feel called to gather in community or to retreat in intimacy, my hope is that you’ll say yes to the woman within you who is asking to be seen.
